Ted Onulak

Ted Onulak lived and worked in the D.C. area for over thirty years, fifteen of them on US Refugee programs. Born in Jersey of Ukrainian immigrants, into a rich, cultural stew of a mixed neighborhood, He speaks six languages and has interpreted a wide variety of texts for many Russian delegations, artists and refugees. He is a life-long musician specializing in saxaphone, vocals & producing. Since losing his sight to retinitis pigmentosa, he has dedicated himself primarily to jazz and blues. Ted took up poetry in earnest in 2008 as a natural extension of song writing.
